For our first issue of the academic year, we sat down with Vice President Olivia Dube and asked her a few questions so that our readers could get to know her a little bit better. Since March, the lives of every student in the United States have been turned upside down, so for this issue and every issue to come, Valley Girl wants to showcase our amazing staff and put out the great work they do every single day.
Olivia is a Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies major with a concentration in Communication Sciences and Disorders and a minor in Education. She is currently a junior here at Assumption and is involved in many activities on campus. Along with Valley Girl, Olivia is a part of the Competitive Dance Team and the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.
So Olivia, what is your favorite activity to do in the fall?
My favorite fall activity is going apple picking with my family, making apple crisp after with all of the apples that we picked and watching It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!
What do you miss the most about normal, Coronavirus free life?
I miss being at school and doing things with my friends. I wish that I could just be able to go out and do fun things with them. I really miss doing things like going to the movies, going out to dinner, and other things like that!
What is something that you are looking forward to this school year?
I am looking forward to next semester and hopefully moving into school!
What do you think is the best part of being a part of valley girl
I love expressing my creative side and getting out of my comfort zone! I am not much of a writer, but this club is helping me become one!!
And finally what is your favorite spot on Assumption’s campus?
My favorite spot on the Assumption campus is Charlie’s!! I love the atmosphere Charlie’s brings and how I can just go there to hang out with my friends for hours!!
