While movies have become a favorite pastime for many people worldwide, the best thing about films is that there are different genres. While the industry has fallen into tough times, it is evident that new movies are coming out soon! I am looking forward to watching include; Coming 2 America, The King’s Man, Venom, Avatar 2, and Space Jam: A New Legacy.
Coming 2 America
Considering this movie came out in 88’, several things have changed since then. From fanny packs to MTV, living in the 8os was very different! In the first film, Prince Akeem escapes to New York City to find a wife, although he comes from a wealthy African country and is raised up in the luxury and comfort of being a pricne, he was his queen to love him for himself. (not his title). I am sure it will be filled with laughs, and more antics considering how different the world is now.
The King’s Man
In the sequel movie, one man must race against time to stop tyrants and criminal masterminds who form a plot to wipe out millions of people and destroy humanity all together. In the previous film “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” Mr. Valentine is the main antagonist and global entrepreneur, who attempts to rid the world of being overpopulated. Thus considering how the last film played out having me at the edge of my seat! When I watch the new film, I will be intrigued about what will play out.
After Venom came out in 2018, the second film will be coming out later this year! The focal point for the new film will focus on the relationship between Eddie and Venom. For those who have yet to watch Venom, it is about journalist Eddie Brock who trying to track and take down Carlton Drake the founder of Life Foundation. Though while investigating, one of Drake’s expereiments Eddie’s body merges with the alien Venom, thus leaving him with superhuman strength and power.
Who could forget Avatar, the first movie came out in 2009, during that year movies such as; The Proposal and The Ugly Truth came out. While there is noise that the sequel will focus on the children of Jake Sully and Neytiri, I am more interested in learning about how different their civilization is now.
Space Jam: A New Legacy
Considering that the first Space Jam movie came out in 96’ two years before I was born, I remember growing up watching this movie with my cousins and at home during snow days. In the sequel, the Looney Tunes crew are up against a new group of rivals, AI-generated rivals will change these characters in new ways!
As much as I enjoyed watching Space Jam, I have always enjoyed relaxing at home on the weekends. Through COVID I have been able to spend time with my Grandparents more often because I have stayed home through this, I am blessed to still have them around and hear about the movies they used to watch such as West Side Story, Casablanca, and Gone With The Wind.
